NEW RICHMOND, WI – The ADRC will be partnering with Teresa Kvam, RD, CD, St. Croix County Public Health/WIC Nutritionist to provide a variety of Nutrition Talks in August and September. 

Teresa Kvam is a Registered Dietitian who has worked in clinical nutrition, long-term care, corporate wellness, sports nutrition and education prior to her work with St. Croix County, where she has served as a Public Health/WIC Nutritionist for the past 13 years. Teresa is in her final semester to complete a master’s degree in nutrition.  She is the ADRC consultant dietitian and will be presenting quarterly nutrition talks to all interested Senior Dining Sites/Senior Centers. 

The Nutrition Talk entitled “Bean There, Done That” will be kicked off on Tuesday, August 7 at the Woodville Senior Center and will be presented again on Thursday, August 23 at the Baldwin Senior Center. The 30-minute talk which will feature dry beans, also known as legumes that have been cultivated for thousands of years and have over 4,000 different species.  But who knew that they have always be’an so nutritious! Come and hear more about these fiber “all-stars” and energy boosters.  Please see the schedule below – pick up some valuable information and enjoy a home-cooked meal at the same time!
