    ELMWOOD, WI – The Village of Elmwood held their May Board meeting on Monday, May 14, 2018 in the historic Village Auditorium Dining Room. Board members present for the meeting were: President Bill Stewart and Trustees Marge Binkowski, Josh Bleskacek, Paul Unser, Dolores Radtke, Richard Jones and Rick Stohr.

    ELMWOOD, WI -– We all have goals, but very few are able to start their path in high school. When Kali Brathol applied to join the ranks of the Wisconsin American Legion Law Enforcement Academy (WALLECA), she was competing against juniors and seniors across the state for one spot out of 40 available. Brathol didn't have to do a fitness test to get accepted.  She completed an application and 150 words or less essay on why she was interested in law enforcement and attending WALLECA.

  • Elmwood’s Luke Baier and Spring Valley’s Michaela Borup receive Herb Kohl Scholarships

    CHIPPEWA FALLS, WI – Local seniors Luke Baier of Elmwood High School and Michaela Borup of Spring Valley High School were each awarded a prestigious 2018 Herb Kohl Initiative Scholarship from the Herb Kohl Educational Foundation, Inc. This was two of only seven presented to senior high school students in CESA 11.

    ELMWOOD, WI – The Elmwood High School has scheduled their 2018 Prom for Saturday, April 28 at the Elmwood High School – Lien Gym with Post Prom activities to follow also scheduled.

    MILWAUKEE, WI — A luncheon to honor the achievements of north central and northwest Wisconsin students, teachers, and principals will be held Sunday, April 22, at Chippewa Falls Middle School in Chippewa Falls. Local recipients are Tina Fern-Denzer, Woodville, Luke Baier, Elmwood and Michaela Borup, Spring Valley. The event is sponsored by the Herb Kohl Educational Foundation.

    ELMWOOD, WI – As was reported last week in the Sun-Argus. The Easter Bunny hopped into the historic Elmwood Auditorium Saturday afternoon, March 31, to the delight of 75 area children. E. Bunny had to hop past Butternut Park again this year due to the snowfall that arrived overnight in Elmwood.

    ELMWOOD, WI – The Village of Elmwood held their March Board meeting on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 7:07PM in the historic Village Auditorium Dining Room. The meeting was delayed briefly to establish a quorum.

    ELMWOOD, WI – There was a good time had by all at the hop, “Sock Hop” that is. On Saturday night, February 23, 2018 the Elmwood School’s Lien Gym was rock'n and roll'n to the sights and sound of the 1950's with 70 in attendance for the hop.

    MADISON, WI – The Board of Commissioners of Public Lands (BCPL) approved a State Trust Fund Loan totaling $450,000 to the village of Elmwood to remodel the village-owned nursing home.
