SPRING VALLEY, WI – The Spring Valley Community Food Pantry is seeking new leadership to manage this ministry that has served our community for more almost 25 years.  Anyone who in interested in this important volunteer responsibility is encouraged to contact the Pastor of any of our local churches since they serve as the board of directors for the Food Panty.  The phone numbers of these Pastors are listed below.

This authentic One-Ring, Big Top Circus has been featured on National Geographic’s Explorer TV series, Entertainment Tonight, The Los Angeles Times, The Chicago Tribune, Arizona Highways Magazine.   • Pierce County Dairy Breakfast is soggy, well attended

    SPRING VALLEY, WI – Mother Nature unleashed a torrent of wind and rain last Saturday morning, June 16, just as the final setup for the 2018 Annual Pierce County Dairy Breakfast was occurring at the host site of the Colbenson Family’s Ti-Shi Dairy in rural Spring Valley, Wisconsin. But the Pierce County Dairy Promotion Committee (PCDPC) was prepared for that and the event was well attended as the heavy weather passed through the area early on. The PCDPC is one of the sponsors of the Pierce County Dairy Breakfast.

  • Great turnout for 2018 Community Safety Day

    SPRING VALLEY, WI – Threatening weather held off last Friday afternoon, June 15 for the 2018 Community Safety Day hosted by the by Spring Valley Area Emergency Services at the Syverson Practice Field right next to the Spring Valley Dam at the north end of McKay Avenue in Spring Valley. The event occurred from 4 to 7 p.m. and then about 7:15 the heavens opened up and gave us another good soaking.

    SPRING VALLEY, WI – The 21st annual Spring Valley Community Vacation Bible School took place June 10 through 14, 2018, at the Brother Michael Center and Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spring Valley, Wisconsin. 

  • Brat stand raises funds for St. John’s youth gathering trip

    WOODVILLE, WI – Northside Power Equipment in Woodville was the site of a tasty fundraiser put on by four kids from St. John’s Lutheran Church in Spring Valley who are part of a group going on a mission trip shortly to Texas. There are eight students, their pastor and three chaperones going on the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) Youth Gathering in Houston, Texas next week for seven days.

  • Rescheduled annual SV Education Foundation Gala well attended

    SPRING VALLEY, WI – In planning for the 9th Annual Spring Valley Education Foundation Fundraising Gala the idea of moving the event to April made perfect sense. The weather would be good by Saturday, April 14, people would be around and that was the plan.

  • Tyler Leach claims second State title

    SPRING VALLEY, WI – As reported briefly in the June 7 Sun-Argus, Spring Valley High School Honors graduate Tyler Leach had one more honor to accomplish as he wrapped up his high school career.

  • Michael McDonnell of SV to receive prestigious National Science Foundation Fellowship

    EAU CLAIRE, WI – It turns out that good things do happen after midnight. Just ask Michael McDonnell of Spring Valley, Wisconsin, a UW-Eau Claire physics and mathematics major who received a middle-of-the-night email from the National Science Foundation telling him he is among an elite group of students selected to receive a prestigious fellowship that will fund his graduate studies.

  • Food for Fines at Spring Valley Library

    SPRING VALLEY, WI – The Spring Valley Public Library is offering Food for Fines from June 6-July 5. Come in and donate a non-perishable item for the Spring Valley Community Food Pantry and have $1 per non-perishable item waived from your library account. Up to $10 in fines will be waived on fines accrued on Spring Valley Library materials. The food pantry is in particular need of the following: shampoo, Progresso and other healthy choice soups, canned fruit, baking supplies and Kleenex. What better way to not only gain access to more summer resources at your library but to also support those in need in the community!

  • Spring Valley HS graduates Class of 2018

    SPRING VALLEY, WI –The Spring Valley School District graduated 46 seniors of the high school's Class of 2018 last Saturday afternoon, May 26. The Senior High Band played lovely selections for the gathering audience. The gym was full of family and friends to witness this important milestone commencement ceremony for the graduates as they begin a new chapter in their lives.

  • Generous donation received by SV Community Cancer Fund

    SPRING VALLEY, WI – Steve Hartung from the Spring Valley Community Cancer Fund and Tony R. Huppert from the Team Oil Travel Center in Spring Valley Wisconsin might not take the greatest pictures but the Team Oil Travel Center check for $644 dollars for the local Cancer Fund makes up for it.
