  • Two B-W Fastpitch teams receive prestigious Youth 1st Team Award

    OWATONNA, MN – The Baldwin-Woodville 10U and 12U Softball teams have been selected by the Lakeville Fastpitch Softball Association in partnership with Youth 1st, along with several business sponsors and the Minnesota Twins Community Fund as the recipient of a Youth 1st Team Award for their outstanding sportsmanship during the 2018 Lakeville Classic Tournament.

  • OEM’s Mark Tyler joins landmark gathering of State, Federal STEM education leaders at White House

    WOODVILLE, WI – S. Mark Tyler of OEM Fabricators, Inc. was recently invited to attend the first-of-its-kind State-Federal Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Education Summit hosted by The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) on June 25-26, in Washington, D.C.

    WOODVILLE, WI – Hello town of Woodville. This weekend our first princess Libby Whirry traveled to Clear Lake and Milltown. On Saturday the 23rd she went to the Clear Lake Heritage Days. Libby had a blast with the Baldwin court. The queen's tea had a Hula-hooping contest that Libby did not do so well in.

  • Woodville Senior Center to celebrate 4th of July

    WOODVILLE, WI – The 4th of July is a time to stop and reflect on this wonderful country of ours and to appreciate the wonderful gift of freedom that we all enjoy on a daily basis.  The diners at the Senior Center feel it is important to honor this heritage and will celebrate the upcoming Independence Day on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at noon.  They would like to invite you to join them that day for dinner and special music. 

    Musicians Sharon Freitag and Gregg Buffington will return to the Center with special patriotic music along with other familiar tunes during our noon meal. 

  • Woodville Lions hold June meeting, install officers

    WOODVILLE, WI – The Woodville Lions Club enjoyed their regular monthly meeting for June on Monday, June 11, 2018, at the Woodville American Legion Post 301 that included a great meal and the installation of new Club officers. And they were presented with a brass plaque for keeping all four Lions Club International (LCI) Centennial Promises.

    WOODVILLE, WI – Hello town of Woodville, we have just finished up another fun filled weekend with visits to the Cottage Grove Strawberry Fest and Lake Martha Days in Osseo.

    Saturday the 16th our First Princess Libby Whirry went to the Cottage Grove Strawberry Fest. While she was there she got to meet a bunch of new royalty.
  • Brat stand raises funds for St. John’s youth gathering trip

    WOODVILLE, WI – Northside Power Equipment in Woodville was the site of a tasty fundraiser put on by four kids from St. John’s Lutheran Church in Spring Valley who are part of a group going on a mission trip shortly to Texas. There are eight students, their pastor and three chaperones going on the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) Youth Gathering in Houston, Texas next week for seven days.

  • Senior Center to hold Brat Stand fundraiser at Nilssen’s

    WOODVILLE, WI – The Woodville Senior Center is hosting a Brat Stand fundraiser in the parking lot at the front of the grocery store at Nilssen’s Foods in Baldwin.  The store generously allows non-profit organizations to use their concession stand in an effort to raise funds for their programs.

  • Summer at the Woodville Library

    WOODVILLE, WI – Summer is a busy time at the Woodville Library.  Kids can sign up for the summer reading program.  This year the readers get to pick out a dog tag necklace when they sign up and as they read they add beads to it to keep track of their reading progress.

    BALDWIN-WOODVILLE, WI – During the recent Wisconsin Garden Club Federation annual meeting in Wausau, Wisconsin, the Botany Belles and Beaus Garden Club with members from central St. Croix County was honored for several of its achievements.

    BALDWIN, WI – The St. Croix County Recycling program, in cooperation with local municipalities, will be sponsoring a series of tire and appliance collections on Saturday, June 16, 2018. 

  • Woodville commemorates fallen during 2018 Memorial Day observance [ALBUM]

    WOODVILLE, WI –The Woodville American Legion Post 301, and the Auxiliary Unit 301 began their annual 2018 Memorial Day cemetery visitations on a very warm, Monday, May 28, at 9:20 am. The dedicated veterans group included stops first at Southside Cemetery, then Sunset Cemetery and Immanuel Cemetery.

  • Baldwin-Woodville High School graduates Class of 2018

    BALDWIN, WI – The rain poured down on Friday night shortly before the start of the Baldwin-Woodville High School (BWHS) Graduation ceremony. But that was a blessing as it broke the oppressive 90-degree heat. The sun came out to shine brightly as the band under the direction of Mr. Adam Bassak struck up the familiar “Fanfare and Processional, Pomp and Circumstance” by Elgar and “Jupiter Hymn From the Planets” by Holst.

  • Annual Syttende Mai ‘Chairitage’ Auction a success!

    WOODVILLE, WI – Many thanks to the numerous participants of the Syttende Mai - Woodville Historical Society 4th Annual “Chairitage” Contest and Auction that helped make this fund-raising event a success again this year!
