ELMWOOD, WI – There was a warm welcome for the 20 Chinese 4th and 5th graders at Elmwood Elementary School on Monday, April 16, 2018 despite the blizzard conditions that hit the area the prior weekend that dumped about a foot of “Spring” snow on the area.

  • Elmwood’s Luke Baier named to WBCA All-Star Team

    ELMWOOD, WI – Luke Baier of Elmwood High School (EPC Wolves) has been named to the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) All-Star Team.  Luke will be a member of the South Team for Division 5. 

  • Feuker and Baier selected as Dunn-St Croix Conference Scholar Athletes

    ELMWOOD, WI – The Elmwood High School Athletic Department is proud to announce the selection of Hannah Feuker and Luke Baier as this year’s Dunn-St Croix Conference Scholar Athletes. 

  • SPRING VALLEY, WI - For the first time in many years, there was not a D-SC/BRC wrestling challenge this year, which meant the conference coaches had to meet to select All-Conference teams.

    The top two teams in the conference (there are only five teams in the conference) dominated the All-Conference selections. Boyceville and Glenwood City had nine and seven All-Conference selections respectively.

  • Elementary School creates Winter Olympics in Elmwood

    ELMWOOD, WI – The Elmwood elementary students participated in their own version of the Winter Olympics the week of February 12-16. All the students grades K-5 were assigned to countries led by different classroom teachers.

  • MADISON, WI - No wrestler wants to be a one-and-done at the WIAA State wrestling meet, unfortunately, many are. But, for many, taking away that state experience is the most important thing.

    Spring Valley junior Carter Merth was able to get that experience last week when he earned the right to wrestle at the WIAA Individual State Tournament in Division Three at 170 pounds.

  • OSCEOLA, WI - The Spring Valley/Elmwood wrestling team is going to be represented in Madison this weekend as junior Cater Merth earned the right to make the trip.

    Merth has been flirting with success all season long for the Cardinals, as well as struggling through some injuries also.

  • SPRING VALLEY, WI - It has been a different season for the Spring Valley/Elmwood wrestling team this year. It hasn’t been a dominant season like it has in previous years, but the season is still going on for two wrestlers from the SV/E team.

    Senior Nick Hofacker and junior Carter Merth are both advancing to the individual sectionals after taking second place last week in their respective weights. Unfortunately, this puts an end to the season for the team, as the Cardinals string of regional wins comes to an end.

  • SPRING VALLEY, WI - In the final week of competition prior to the WIAA Regional action, which is this Saturday in Spring Valley by the way, the Cardinals earned a split of their final two duals of the season.

    SV/E 37, Durand 28
    It was closer than it needed to be, but neither team could fill out a full roster and the Cardinals were able to dress more wrestlers than the bigger Durand school could for the win.

  • SHELL LAKE, WI - The wrestling team continues to make strides towards improvement and prepping for the upcoming state run. The Spring Valley/Elmwood wrestling team may not have enough wrestlers to help their cause in dual matches, but the individual wrestlers are gaining experience and getting better.

    ELMWOOD, WI – On Tuesday January 9, Elmwood School hosted a graduation ceremony for the Elmwood and Spring Valley 5th graders who have worked hard to graduate the D.A.R.E. program.

    ELMWOOD, WI – On Tuesday January 9, 2018 Elmwood Schools hosted a graduation ceremony for the Elmwood and Spring Valley 5th graders who have worked hard to graduate the D.A.R.E. program. The ceremony was led by Officer Steve Albarado who was filling in for Officer Chad Koranda. Officer Chad Koranda was not able to make it due to the recent birth of his twin daughters.

  • Family came first for new CVTC Graduate

    EAU CLAIRE, WI – A change in her life circumstances and a generous offer from an employer allowed Kimberly Wood of Arkansaw, Wisconsin to get started on a new career. Now she’s ready to move up after graduating from Chippewa Valley Technical College’s Accounting program.

    ELMWOOD, WI – The Elmwood Student Council organized the annual food and toy drives again this year, starting before Thanksgiving, and succeeded in collecting and donating more food and toys than ever to the Elmwood Food Pantry!

  • Elmwood HS Senior, Kassye Todd, places 9th in State Cross Country Race

    ELMWOOD, WI – The Elmwood High School Cross Country team ran a successful season this 2017 season. It has been a delight to coach the team.

  • ELMWOOD, WI – The Elmwood Fire Dept., in partnership with the Wisconsin Propane Education & Research Council (WiPERC), is hosting an emergency response, live propane fire training on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 6:00 PM. Approximately 50 fire fighters from the Elmwood Fire Dept. and surrounding areas are expected to attend.

  • Nyeggen runs wild over E-PC as Cards win 46-0

    ELMWOOD, WI - Games like this don’t come along very often for high school teams. Games where everything seems to just go right, even when it doesn’t go right.

  • ELMWOOD, WI – In response to community needs, the Elmwood School District board approved establishing a self-sustaining child care center to be housed in the elementary wing of the school building. The center is set for a September 1, 2017 start date.

    Now accepting enrollment for children 6 weeks to 4-years-old; the Elmwood Early Learning Center is committed to nurture your child’s social, emotional, and physical growth through developmentally and individually appropriate activities and programs while maintaining a positive partnership with you, the parents.

  • Elmwood High School Class of 1967 holds 50th reunion

    ELMWOOD, WI -- Elmwood High School Class of 1967 gathered for reunion on July 22, 2017 in the backyard at Kern's Kurbside, Elmwood, Wisconsin.
