CADOTT, WI - The WIAA Regional track meet marks the end of the regular season for track and the beginning of the trip to state, as does the D-SC conference meet, which happened last week.

D-SC Conference Meet - The Cardinals placed just one conference champion at the D-SC Conference Meet in Mondovi last week, the girls’ 4x200 meter relay team of Erin Stans, Shye Klatt, Maddie Jacobson and Briana O’Brien.

  • SPRING VALLEY, WI - The Cardinal baseball team finalized their regular season schedule with a win over Colfax this past Monday. Valley gets another shot, right here at home, against the Vikings again today in the WIAA opening round match-up.

Last week the Cardinals were up and down, losing a tough 10-inning game at Mondovi, beating Pepin-Alma in five innings, then losing to Elk Mound in a tough seven inning game.

  • Play 60 Reward Summit

SPRING VALLEY, WI – On May 2, 2018 five Spring Valley "Play 60" Middle School Students, Abby Thompson, Wyatt Goveronski, Diego Schmitt, Joel Anderson and Tyra Johnson, along with Ms. Gould - Play 60 Advisor and Mr. Donath, all travelled to Green Bay and had an amazing day at the "Fuel Greatness Student Ambassador Reward Summit."

  • COLFAX, WI - It came down to the final meet for the Spring Valley Golf Team. This past Monday night the Cardinals went into the 18-hole conference finale in second place with 30 points, just one point behind first place Durand. But with an 18-hole event, points were doubled, and the Cardinals knew they would have to win the meet to win the conference championship, anything else wouldn’t do.

  • SPRING VALLEY, WI - A win just has not materialized for the Spring Valley softball team yet this year, but that doesn’t mean there hasn’t been successes.

“We have been our own worst enemy in the field,” said Head Coach Ron Cipriano. “We are giving teams extra outs every game, and when we do that, we give them opportunities to score more runs. But we are cutting down on some of those errors, now we just need to give more of an effort.”

  • The low down on the ‘Low-Down on the Hoedown’ Dinner Theater

SPRING VALLEY, WI – 70 second and 46 third grade students entertained family and friends at the Spring Valley Elementary School’s 17th Annual Dinner Theater on Thursday, May 3, 2018.

  • GLENWOOD CITY, WI - The weather is finally cooperating, and so are the greens and fairways for the Spring Valley golf team.

The Cardinals competed at two matches last week, taking second place in Mondovi and first place in Glenwood City to move into first place in the conference.

  • SPRING VALLEY, WI - The weather-shortened season might seem like it’s getting long for a team not winning, but the Spring Valley softball team has persevered through much of it and continues to make improvements from game to game.

Last week the Cardinals lost a pair of games at Elmwood, played a tough game against Pepin/Alma and lost on the road at Colfax.

  • SPRING VALLEY, WI - It’s a brand-new season for the Spring Valley baseball team as they are the four-time defending Dunn-St. Croix Small Conference champions.

The problem is that there is only one conference this year and the Cardinals have a lot of newcomers to the lineup.

  • Golf team takes first place in first conference match

COLFAX, WI - In the battle against Mother Nature, Mother Nature always wins.

  • PEPIN, WI - The spring weather finally cooperated for once and the Cardinal softball team had the chance to play some games.

Unfortunately, the Mondovi Buffaloes were not as kind, topping the Cardinals 31-9 in five innings.

“The score doesn’t show the success we had out there as a team,” said Head Coach Ron Cipriano. “We struggled getting them out in the first inning, but we responded to that adversity and just kept fighting.”

  • PEPIN, WI – The spring sports’ season has been decimated by weather so far this year, with Mother Nature winning most games in all sports throughout the state.

Fortunately, the Spring Valley softball team was able to get one game in last week before the massive snowstorm that came in over the weekend forced more postponements.

  • DURAND, WI – The Spring Valley baseball team has been the conference champions for the past four years in the Dunn-St. Croix Small Conference. This year, however, there is just one D-SC conference, not a large and small. The Cardinals also only return one-starter from last year, so there are a lot of fresh players in new places and new opportunities for the team.

Unfortunately, the team started with a tough 4-2 loss on the road in Durand last week with sophomore Aaron Borgerding taking the loss in the game that had four pitchers take the mound for Valley.
